Frequently asked
The short answers. If yours is not here, the best way to find out is to play a match.
What is Boomstick City?
A free head-to-head card game set in a post-apocalyptic city. You pick a crew, play Survivors and Gear, and race your rival to 15 Territory Points. It plays in your browser with no install.
How is it different from Hearthstone?
You do not grind down a health bar. You race to 15 Territory Points by winning fights on a single shared board and raiding the Stash when the enemy is cleared. Matches are a sprint, not a siege, and there is no turn limit.
Is it free?
Yes. Boomstick City is free to play. All four starter decks are yours from the start. Card packs and cosmetics are optional and never required to win.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in any modern browser. Open the page and you are in a match. You can also add it to your phone's home screen.
How long is a match?
Usually around eight turns. There is no hard turn limit, so a match ends when a crew reaches 15 Territory Points.
Which crew should I start with?
Scrapwright grinds, Powderkeg swings, Hearth goes wide, and Glow rots the board down. Try all four. They are free, and each one plays differently.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The game runs in a mobile browser and is designed for landscape play. Add it to your home screen for a full-screen, app-like feel.
